Dr. Lyleth Bustillo's nursing career spans more than 34 years, starting as a bedside RN in the Philippines and continuing across two decades of direct patient care after she relocated to the United States. That bedside experience is what eventually pulled her into teaching.
She holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Gannon University, an MSN from Herzing University, and a Master of Arts in Nursing from the University of San Agustin. Since stepping into the classroom, she's personally mentored over a thousand nursing students — and she brings that same hands-on standard to every instructor she approves here.
Her teaching philosophy centers on student-centered learning that builds real critical thinking, not just correct answers — because behind every nurse is a future patient.
